Robinson, coming off the bench, contributed eight points in just 12 minutes of play in the Knicks' crushing 145-101 victory.
"You never know what to expect, but it's a good baseline for us," Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau said of Robinson. "I liked the way he moved. He'll get better and better each day."
The 25-year-old hadn't seen action since sustaining a stress fracture in his left ankle during a December 8th game against the Boston Celtics, an injury that ultimately required surgery. Despite the setback, the NBA denied the Knicks' application for a $7.8 million Disabled Player Exception.
Robinson also showcased his defensive prowess upon his return, grabbing two rebounds and blocking two shots, including a notable swat less than a minute after entering the game.
"At least my defense is kind of there," Robinson reacted to his comeback. "I've still got a little bit to work on with that."
Now in his sixth season, Robinson maintains averages of 6.3 points and 9.9 rebounds per game across 22 appearances.
