"I think there's a very good likelihood that he will return before the playoffs," Nurse said.
Moreover, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski chimed in with additional reassurance, reporting, "I'm told it's not a question of if but when."
Wojnarowski's sources suggest that Embiid's return is imminent, with the belief that he could feature in a handful of regular-season games before the playoffs begin.
"I'm told that he is moving well. He has looked good on the court. And again, it's just a matter of when he makes his return at this point," Wojnarowski added.
Embiid's absence, due to a meniscus injury suffered on Jan. 30 against Golden State, has been keenly felt by the Sixers, who have struggled in his absence, posting a record of 10 wins and 17 losses in the games since his injury.
Embiid, who has averaged 35.3 points and 11.5 rebounds this season, underwent surgery on Feb. 6 to address his injury.
With nine games left in the regular season, the 76ers (39-34) currently sit in eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings.
