In the history of the NBA, there've been some historical Slam Dunk contests but in the last few years, the quality of the competition has been slowly going down.

Especially last night's Slam Dunk contest, though, didn't impress most of the fans and NBA legends that watched it.

There were several mistakes and failed attempts and even the dunks that were successful weren't considered anywhere near to the highs of the past.

Former Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade said that the Slam Dunk contest was only a '6' in his opinion.

Twitter was wild during the night, with fans criticizing the quality of the event. Shaquille O'Neal was pictured in several memes, comparing his crazy reactions of the past and the unimpressed face he showed last night.

Several NBA commentators were also not happy about the quality of the event and declared that last night should be erased completely from the NBA's memory.

Chicago Bulls superstar DeMar DeRozan also didn't look exactly excited while watching the Slam Dunk contest.

Donovan Mitchell explained that after Zach LaVine and Aaron Gordon's performances in the Slam Dunk Contest, the others can't compete anymore
