Hayes-Davis lit up the scoreboard with a career-high 50 points, solidifying his name in EuroLeague lore.
This remarkable feat placed him first, surpassing the previous scoring record set by Shane Larkin, who notched 49 points against FC Bayern Munich in 2019.
"I had it written in my notes at the beginning of the season that I wanted to break the scoring record this year," Hayes-Davis said after a 103-68 win. "Right before the game, I texted my guys Jordan and Nate and told them that I was feeling a Dejounte Murray game. I didn't know I was going to score 50, I just knew I was going to shoot the ball a lot."
In addition to his personal milestone, Hayes-Davis also etched his name in Fenerbahce's club history, surpassing Nando De Colo's previous scoring record at 39 set in 2019 against Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz.
Hayes-Davis sank 9 of 11 shots from within the two-point range, drained 9 three-pointers out of 16 attempts from beyond the arc, and made 5 of 7 free-throw attempts.
He came close to tying the single-game three-point record, needing just one more successful attempt to carve his name in yet another record book.
In addition to his scoring heroics, Hayes-Davis contributed 2 rebounds and 1 steal, accumulating an impressive 46 PIR in nearly 30 minutes of play.
