Breanna Stewart, A'ja Wilson are WNBA Players of the Month for July

On Wednesday, the WNBA announced that Breanna Stewart of the NewYork Liberty and A'ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces were named theWNBA Players of the Month for July.

Stewart earned the Eastern Conferencehonors after leading the Liberty to a 9-2 record during the monthof July, while averaging 24.5 points, 8.4 rebounds and 3.3 assistsper game.

On the season, Stewart has averaged22.9 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 2.0 threes, 1.5 steals and1.4 blocks, while shooting 46.2% from the field, 37.4% fromthree-point range and 85.3% from the free-throw line. New York is20-6, which is the second-best record in the WNBA (trailing onlyWilson's Aces).

Wilson earned the Western Conferencehonors after leading the Aces to a 9-1 record throughout July,while averaging 22.7 points, 10.1 rebounds and 2.7 blocks pergame.

This season, Wilson has averaged 20.7points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.3 blocks, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals, whileshooting 55.0% from the field, 23.8% from three-point range and78.2% from the free-throw line. The Aces have been virtuallyunstoppable this season, winning a WNBA-best 24 of 26 games thusfar. Las Vegas is currently on a league-best eight-game winningstreak.

The WNBA also announced that TanishaWright of the Atlanta Dream has won the league's Coach of the Monthaward for July. Coach Wright led the Dream to an 8-3 recordthroughout July. Atlanta is currently 14-12, which is thefifth-best record in the WNBA.

In addition, the league announced theWNBA Rookie of the Month: Diamond Miller of the Minnesota Lynx, whoaveraged 13.5 points and 4.0 rebounds while leading the Lynx to a7-4 record during July.
