Celtics' Brad Stevens named NBA Basketball Executive of the Year

Boston Celtics President of Basketball Operations Brad Stevens has been named the 2023-24 NBA Basketball Executive of the Year.  He has won the annual award for the first time.

Stevens is in his third season in his current position after serving as the Celtics’ head coach for eight seasons.  He assembled a team that went an NBA-best 64-18 in the 2023-24 regular season.  His player acquisitions leading into the season included two of Boston’s starters, guard Jrue Holiday and forward-center Kristaps Porziņģis.

The voting panel for the NBA Basketball Executive of the Year Award consisted of team basketball executives from around the NBA.  Oklahoma City Thunder Executive Vice President and General Manager Sam Presti and Minnesota Timberwolves President of Basketball Operations Tim Connelly finished in second and third place, respectively.
