Good news for the Philadelphia 76ers as the team's superstar, Joel Embiid, may be back in action against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday.

According to Shams Chanaria of The Athletic, the center "completed multiple five-on-five scrimmages at practice in recent days" and may thus be eligible to return very soon.

Since suffering an injury in late January, Embiid has been sidelined. He received surgery on the lateral meniscus of his left knee, which kept him off the courts for three months.

As the last stretch of the NBA regular season is underway, Embiid's return could have crucial implications for the 76ers. The team is currently ranked 8th in the Eastern Conference with 40 wins and 35 losses.

Having been crowned regular season MVP last year, Embiid was having a very dominant performance before his injury this season. His averages were 35.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 5.7 assists.
