The incident occurred with just over two minutes remaining in the game, with Atlanta comfortably ahead 113-96. Bogdanovic initially tossed a water bottle onto the ground during a timeout before confronting Snyder, shouting, and pointing fingers. Teammates had to intervene to separate them.
However, shortly after the confrontation, Snyder approached Bogdanovic, extending a handshake, and the two reconciled with a hug.
While the specific reason for the heated exchange remains unknown, Bogdanovic addressed it post-game, suggesting that such incidents are commonplace between him and the coach, given their competitive nature and shared concern for the team's success.
"We are doing this almost every other minute, or we are verbally fighting all the time, which is normal," Bogdanovic told Lauren L. Williams. "That means we both care, and everyone cares."
The Serbian guard further highlighted the importance of expressing such emotions rather than bottling them up, expressing regret that the incident was captured during the game.
"Quin is my guy, for sure. And, he was pushing me through the whole year," Bogdanovic went on to say. "We had this like, fights, little fights. It's normal that happens."
Snyder echoed Bogdanovic's sentiments, praising the player's performance and their positive relationship.
"Bogi was terrific, and he and I are in a great place," Snyder said after the win. "I mean better than good, great. And I love how he played as well. He's defending, which has been a point of pride for him. The night he had, he was as efficient as you can be."
Bogdanovic scored a team-high 20 points for the Hawks in nearly 34 minutes of play.
With this victory, Atlanta (35-40) secured their fifth win in the last six games and continue to put pressure on Chicago (36-40) for the ninth spot in the Eastern Conference standings.
