Although it has been a less-than-stellar season for Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade in the EuroLeague, the Serbian team can look forward to the ABA League and can rejoice about the fact that some of their injured players are returning.

Ahead of the Round 33 game versus Olympiacos Piraeus, Crvena Zvezda head coach Ioannis Sfairopoulos made remarks about the injury statuses of Trey Thompkins, Yago dos Santos, and Milos Teodosic.

"Trey will not play against Olympiakos, but he is in the final stages of finding his rhythm. In a few days, maybe a week, we can expect him," the experienced Greek coach said about Thompkins, who has not played a single game since signing with the team.

The tactician also shared good news about the team's two guards.

"It is very important that Yago and Teodosic returned, which will now help [Adam] Hanga, who was our only playmaker," Sfairopoulos said. "It's good that almost everyone is coming back."

This will increase our options in the game. It is important that we give the players who are recovering from injuries the opportunity to catch the rhythm [and] to be part of the team in good condition. It will be easier for them to get into competitive shape," he concluded.

While it is not possible for Crvena Zvezda to make it to the EuroLeague play-in with 11 wins and 21 losses, they still have the chance to close their season in Europe on a high note with the possibility of winning against Olympiacos and Anadolu Efes Istanbul.
