Ja Morant has parted ways with his longtime agent Jim Tanner.

Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant and his longtime agent Jim Tanner have parted ways, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. Tanner had been representing Morant since he entered the NBA as the No. 2 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

Over the past five seasons, Morant has emerged as one of the NBA's biggest stars.

In 2022, he signed a five-year rookie maximum extension worth $193 million, solidifying his commitment to Memphis until the 2027-28 season. This deal marked the largest contract in the franchise's history.

Despite his on-court success, Morant faced controversy off the court.

In March 2023, he received a nine-game suspension after appearing to flash a gun in an Instagram Live video while at a nightclub in the Denver area. This incident was followed by another similar video surfacing in May 2023, resulting in a 25-game suspension at the beginning of the 2023-24 season.

Currently, Morant is sidelined for the remainder of the season due to a labral tear in his left shoulder.
