"I'm focused on what I'm doing right now. I know I've put myself in a great position to get a little upgrade," Hartenstein told Hoops Hype. "Right now, I'm focused on the Knicks. I love it here, and hopefully, we'll figure something out, but at the end of the day, business is business."
When Scotto asked Hartenstein whether he would stay in New York if the money were equal, Hartenstein assured him, "Yeah."
Hartenstein has been performing well, averaging 7.5 points, 2.4 assists, and career-highs in rebounds (8.3), steals (1.1), and minutes (24.9) over 70 games (44 starts) this season.
