According to The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Calipari is about to sign a five-year deal with Arkansas.
Calipari has previously signed a 10-year deal with Kentucky, which includes additional perks, such as ambassadorship after the contract ends. If Kentucky were to fire Calipari, they would've had to pay a massive $33 million buyout.
Now that Calipari leaves to coach Arkansas, no buyout is required.
Calipari was previously paid $8.53 million, the second-highest salary in college basketball. According to Shams Charania from The Athletic, the new deal is about to be massive to lure the famous coach out of Kentucky, which he previously coached for 15 years.
Calipari is the 8th-winningest coach in NCAA history. He won the NCAA Championship in 2012.
