"Actually, I had already signed earlier. It was very important for me to find a team that would believe in me for more than a year," he told ERT following Monday's domestic victory over Kolossos Rhodes.

According to BasketNews sources, Grigonis has agreed to a three-year extension with the Greek powerhouse, prolonging his tenure until the summer of 2027. This multi-year deal comes with a full guarantee.

"I am happy to stay with my family in Greece," Grigonis went on to say. "I look forward to the development of the team and how it becomes even more professional. I believe that the team has a lot of room for development, because it has everything. It has one of the best fan bases, one of the best cities, good weather, everything. It can be even better than what it is now."

The 29-year-old Lithuanian guard is in his second season with Panathinaikos, averaging 10.1 points (58.4% 2PT, 43.7% 3PT, 89.6% FT), 3.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 9.8 PIR over 33 EuroLeague games (32 starts) this campaign.
