NBA teams are keeping an eye on Julius Randle's future with the New York Knicks, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic

Charania discussed on FanDuel TV's Run It Back how Randle can opt out of his contract in 2025. If the Knicks hesitate to extend him beyond that, they might consider including the three-time All-Star in a blockbuster trade.

Randle is entering the final guaranteed year of his contract, worth $30.3 million. He also has a $32.4 million player option for the 2025-26 season, which he is expected to decline, making him an unrestricted free agent.

This summer, he is eligible to sign a four-year, $181.5 million extension, but in free agency, he could be eligible for a five-year deal worth over $300 million.

This past regular season, Randle averaged 24.0 points on 47.2% shooting, along with 9.2 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 35.4 minutes per game across 46 appearances.

His season was cut short due to a shoulder injury in January that required surgery.
