Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade were blown out by Anadolu Efes Istanbul in the last game of the regular season. That was the worst result in the Serbian club's history.

The 45-point margin marked the biggest loss in Crvena Zvezda's EuroLeague history. The previous record was set in 2015 when the red-and-whites lost by 38 points against Khimki Moscow Region (53-91).

Additionally, this was the fourth-owest-scoring game for Crvena Zvezda in the team's EuroLeague history. The previous low of 53 points was set in that same game against Khimki.

During the matchup, Milos Teodosic and Joel Bolomboy were ejected. On the other side of the court, Tyrique Jones was ejected as well.

Tremendous speculations surrounded this game, as Crvena Zvezda's win was needed for their eternal rivals, Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade, for them to have a chance to get to the play-in tournament this season.

Instead, Crvena Zvezda lost the game without much hope and finished the season in 16th place with 11 wins and 23 losses, while Efes will participate in the play-in tournament from the 9th spot.
