Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns is expected to return for Friday's game against the Atlanta Hawks, according to Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPN.

Wojnarowski states that Towns is not looking to return versus the Denver Nuggets, a game which will take place on March 10 local time.

The center had suffered a torn meniscus on his left knee in early March and was forced to undergo surgery. However, his rehab has progressed well, per Chanaria.

Towns's return can have serious implications for the post-season, as he is one of the team's most dominant offensive forces. He averages 22.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 3 assists per game.

The Timberwolves have a 55-25 record and are in 2nd place in the Western Conference.
