However, Red Star suffered the biggest loss in the team's history, losing 55-100 against Anadolu Efes.
"Very obvious!" Partizan captain Kevin Punter tweeted after the Zvezda game.
Following the win against Valencia, Punter sought to clarify his tweet, suggesting it was not necessarily about Crvena Zvezda's loss in the final round.
"Why people thought I was talking about basketball? I was watching the Netflix movie, it's called 'Emily the Criminal.' Watch that, it's pretty good," Punter said with a smile, via Nemanja Stanojcic of Mondo.
Punter's former teammate Mathias Lessort quoted to his tweet: "SMH, shit is ridiculous. Cheating the game is never gonna serve you; karma is a bitch."
When asked if Lessort watched the same movie as Punter, the American guard replied, "He probably did. I spoke to him today and yesterday. Me and him are always on the same page, so he probably watched the same movie as me," Punter smiled again.
Punter then mentioned his future at Partizan when asked, "Do you wanna stay?"
"That's why I signed a two-year deal. So, you know..." Punter responded.
Despite interest from Panathinaikos and Barcelona during his free agency last summer, Punter opted to extend his contract with the Serbian club.
Punter averaged 15.0 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.1 steals, and 14.1 PIR over 28 EuroLeague games this season.
