In remarks to Tomer Azarly, Jones talked about how the therapy he received helped him out and how physical training in the meantime helped keep him in shape for the demanding NBA schedule.
"I want to thank the NBPA. They stepped in and played a major role in my off-the-court development program, where I was doing therapy two times a week to get me ready to get back into this professional environment so I could adjust in the right way and get me ready for the FIBA AmeriCup, too," Jones stated, thanking the NBA Players' Association for their support.
When asked if he wanted to continue his therapy or not, Jones was clear.
"Yes, sir. I hope I'm allowed to say that, but yeah, I plan to continue [doing therapy]," he noted. "I think it's great for my brain and my development as a person and professional, and just learning how to navigate this life."
Trying to make the right decision every day, so I'd definitely like to shout out to my trainers..." he said before going on to thank his physical trainers.
"We all worked together to just keep me on the right path of basketball. Trying to stay in that NBA schedule... I definitely feel like I took a lot of steps," he concluded about his development and return.
Jones averaged 2.7 points and 2 rebounds in 9.1 minutes per game with the Hornets in his last two NBA seasons.
