Victor Wembanyama was the third most-watched NBA player on social media despite being a rookie. Three other Europeans - Luka Doncic (4th), Nikola Jokic (6th), and Giannis Antetokounmpo (8th) are in the Top 10 as well.

With the NBA regular season coming to an end, the league announced the players who garnered the most attention on social media.

The most-viewed play of the entire season was Dallas Mavericks' defensive play that led to an alley-oop, accruing 250 million views on Instagram. A close second was Victor Wembanyama's dunk during a fast-break from almost the free-throw line over Boston Celtics' Derrick White with 247 million views.

A distant third - Anthony Edwards' self-alley-oop against the Memphis Grizzlies with 140 million views. The last two spots are occupied by Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry, whose handles and fakes, combined with his scoring prowess, earned him 128 million and 98 million views for 4th and 5th place, respectively.

Additionally, the most-viewed players were announced who gathered the most views on social media. At the very top - the Los Angeles Lakers phenom LeBron James, combining for a whopping 1.9 billion views. Curry is second with 1.7 billion views.

In his very first season in the NBA, Victor Wembanyama placed third with 1.3 billion views on social media, while Dallas Mavericks teammates Luka Doncic (1.2 billion views) and Kyrie Irving (662 million views) round out the top five.
