It is a historic day for EuroLeague basketball as the Play-In Showdown format is being implemented for the first time.

To begin the night, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv (ranked 7th) crushed Baskonia-Vitoria Gasteiz (ranked 8th) in Belgrade, Serbia. Maccabi's relentless offensive performance was too much to handle, and Maccabi clinched the 7th spot. With this, Maccabi will face off against Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens in the playoffs.

Then, Virtus Segafredo Bologna (ranked 10th) downed Anadolu Efes Istanbul (ranked 9th) in Istanbul, Turkiye. The game was quite competitive and had very little offensive efficiency. Eventually, Virtus managed to outlast the Turkish team thanks to good contributions from its bench. Anadolu Efes has, therefore, been eliminated.

Baskonia will meet Virtus Segafredo Bologna on the last Play-In Showdown to see who takes 8th place and becomes Real Madrid's rival in the playoffs.

All EuroLeague matches are broadcast onEuroLeague TV.

Anadolu Efes 64-67 Virtus Bologna

Maccabi 113-85 Baskonia
