LeBron James has many individual awards under his name, but there's a particular one that he has yet to win.

LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers is the league's all-time leading scorer and one of the most accomplished players in NBA history.

The 39-year-old James has won multiple championships and MVP awards in the regular season, in the Finals, and in All-Star Games. But there's one award that has eluded him throughout his career, which he revealed on an episode of The Shop.

“Defensive Player of the Year,” said James when asked if there's an award he hasn't won.

“I mean, that's the only award that I don't have in my house. It kind of stings. I've talked about this before. Like, it don't make sense. It's almost like what [Jay-Z] just said about [Beyonce.] How can she have the most Grammys but never won Album of the Year? So the year I finished second in the Defensive Player of the Year award, the guy who won [the] Defensive Player of the Year award didn't even make first-team All-Defense.”

James was referring to the 2012-13 season where he won the MVP award after averaging 26.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 7.3 assists. He also earned an All-Defense First Team selection.

Marc Gasol won the Defensive Player of the Year award that season but failed to make the All-Defensive First Team.
