On the topic of Conley's return and the fact that the veteran went 4-0 in all Game 7s of his career, Timberwolves' young star Anthony Edwards was asked if winning against the Nuggets carried an emotional weight in terms of getting Conley his first Game 7 win.
Edwards had a straight answer.
"I want to win for myself," he said, drawing laughs from reporters. "I wasn't with Mike whenever he was playing Game 7s, so it has nothing to do with me. Yeah, I want to win for myself," he concluded.
Previously, Edwards had stated that their Game 6 victory was thanks to getting Conley back.
