NEW YORK (AP) — OG Anunoby and Josh Hart started in the New York Knicks’ Game 7 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Sunday.
Anunoby had missed the past four games after he strained his left hamstring in Game 2, but he clearly wasn’t moving well and was taken out of Game 7 after just five minutes.
Josh Hart played through an abdominal strain for the Knicks, fouling out with 10 points and eight rebounds.
“I mean, this is Game 7 at the Garden,” he said before the game. “My whole process, even when I went out of the game, was what do I got to do to play.”
Both players were listed as questionable in the injury report. They took part in the Knicks’ morning workout and warmed up before the game, then were cleared to play.
Sunday’s defeat marked the Knicks’ second consecutive elimination in the Eastern Conference semifinals. New York has not advanced to the conference finals since 2000.
