New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson will not be able to help out his team in a do-or-die game for the playoffs vs. the Sacramento Kings.

Unpleasant news for the New Orleans Pelicans as Zion Williamson will not be able to play against the Sacramento Kings in a do-or-die game for participation in the playoffs.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Williamson's left hamstring injury will keep him sidelined. Shams Chanaria states that the forward will be reevaluated in two weeks.

Williamson had to exit the first play-in game against the Los Angeles Lakers with 3 minutes and 19 seconds until the end of the fourth quarter after scoring a game-tying lay-up at 95-95.

He was excellent in that game, recording 40 points and 11 rebounds and helping his team come back from 15 points down. However, his sudden injury left the Pelicans depleted, and they were defeated 106-110.

On Friday, the Kings and the Pelicans will meet in a one-game elimination format to decide which final team makes it to the NBA playoffs to match up with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
