Tyrese Haliburton was one of the 12 players selected by USA Basketball to play in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Tyrese Haliburton now has a chance to wear the USA jersey again and redeem himself.

Haliburton was selected as a member of USA Basketball's 12-man lineup that will compete in the upcoming Summer Olympics in Paris, France.

The Indiana Pacers' explosive guard will join Steph Curry, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum, Joel Embiid, Devin Booker, Anthony Edwards, Jrue Holiday, Bam Adebayo, Anthony Davis, and Kawhi Leonard.

Haliburton expressed his excitement in representing the US on another huge international stage.

“All of us as kids have grown up watching USA Basketball on every 4th of July…I've really done that my whole life, watching my heroes play USA basketball,” Haliburton told reporters. “It'ssomething I've always wanted to do."

The 24-year-old was a member of the US squad that failed to medal in the 2023 FIBA World Cup. But he's looking forward to the opportunity to once more play for Team USA.

“Obviously, last year, I was a part of that [USA FIBA World Cup] team that we didn't have the success that we necessarily wanted, so to have the opportunity to go back and play would mean the world to me…It would mean the world not just for me but to represent where I'm from. I don't know if anybody's ever played in the Olympics where I'm from."

Haliburton has been averaging 20.1 points, 1.2 steals, and a career-high and league-leading 10.9 assists in 69 games for the Pacers this season.

Indiana is currently preparing for their first-round series against the higher-seeded Milwaukee Bucks.
