BasketNews asked the GMs who would be the first player they sign in today's EuroLeague if everyone were available on the market.
They brought six names, but the highest-paid EuroLeague star Nikola Mirotic came up as the No. 1 pick for the most general managers (30.4%).
Mirotic finished second in the 2021 poll, and Vasilije Micic was chosen as the top pick (36.4%).
This time, Micic tied for the 2nd place with Real Madrid tower Walter Tavares (23.1%).
Will Clyburn, Nikola Kalinic, and Dzanan Musa were also mentioned in this survey.
Mike James (#3) and Shane Larkin (#4) were ranked in the BasketNews Top 50, but neither of the GMs picked two of the best EuroLeague scorers.

Anadolu Efes Istanbul is up for the challenge to become the first modern EuroLeague team to win the title for three consecutive years.
The three-peat that Ergin Ataman and his crew aim for would make a strong case to be considered the best EuroLeague team ever.
Especially when EuroLeague general managers currently have other franchises that they consider the best since 2000.
The current Anadolu Efes franchise was mentioned in the survey but didn't make the Top 3 in the general managers' best EuroLeague team conversation.
Three franchises went for the same share of votes in the BasketNews GM survey, so it didn't help to find out the best squad ever.
