Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown will miss tonight's gameagainst the Brooklyn Nets due to a right adductor strain, and hecould be sidelined for "a week or two," Celtics coach Joe Mazzullatold ESPN's Tim Bontemps.

"I anticipate it being pretty short," Mazzulla told ESPN priorto the Nets game. "Probably a week or two."

Brown has appeared in 40 games this season, averagingcareer-highs in points (27.2), rebounds (7.1), field-goalpercentage (49.8%) and free-throw percentage (79.5%).

On Wednesday, Brown recorded a season-high 41 points as well as12 rebounds in a win over the New Orleans Pelicans — Boston'sfourth-straight victory.

The Celtics are currently 30-12, which is the best record in theNBA. Boston's offense has been dominant through the first half ofthe season, scoring 115.9 points per 100 possessions (which ranksfirst in the NBA). They also have the ninth-best defense in theleague, allowing 109.4 points per 100 possessions.

Brown has been a huge reason for the Celtics' success. In hisabsence, Boston will be relying heavily on Jayson Tatum, who is also in themidst of a career-year.
