Only the game between LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne and Paris Basketball will be broadcast on the L'Equipe TV channel. All other games were supposed to be streamed on SKWEEK, but it will not happen.
Owned by FedCom Media, SWEEK is the online streaming platform that has the rights to broadcast not only the LNB, but the EuroLeague and EuroCup as well. Amidst huge financial disagreements with French media giant L'Equipe, SKWEEK subscribers won't be able to see any LNB games this weekend.
L'Equipe claims FedCom hasn't paid production costs since November of 2023. As such, L'Equipe has already sent a letter of termination to SKWEEK's parent company on Wednesday.
The platform, which is now in danger of even losing the EuroLeague license, and its parent company have been experiencing financial issues for quite some time.
However, SKWEEK's CEO Oleg Petrovclaimed in Marchthat everything would be paid, even if it meant paying extra interest.
SKWEEK waslaunched in 2022with high investments from the AS Monaco owner Alexey Fedorychev, who owns the FedCom Media.
SKWEEK is also a major sponsor ofLDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne. However, only a part of the pre-agreed sponsorship has been paid, and the club will have to lower the budget next year, president Tony Parker has said.
