After losing to Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv in the first game on Tuesday, Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz host Virtus Segafredo Bologna in a win-or-go-home match. The winning team will advance to the playoffs to play in a best-of-five series against Real Madrid.
The two teams met twice in the regular season, with each team winning one game and each winning away from home. Virtus took the first victory on December 14th, coming away with a 91-81 win in Vitoria-Gasteiz. Baskonia, meanwhile, came away victorious just a week ago in Bologna, winning 95-91.
Marco Belinelli scored a season-best 27 points in the first matchup. While he scored a solid 15 in the second game, it was Markus Howard who took the spotlight, scoring 34 points.
Baskonia will compete without their leader Chima Moneke, who suffered an ankle injury during the last game against Maccabi.
