The Avengers squad that the USA assembled after consecutive disappointments motivates Bogdan even more. In his season-ending interview, the Serbian star declared himself "already motivated for the Olympics," which he called "a special tournament, a special event."
"I don't think we'll ever see this level of players competing together on the US national team again. Some will be at the Olympics for the last time. I'm getting impatient, I need to get ready. It will be a lot of fun to fight against them," he said.
Bogdanovic averaged 16.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists in the 2023-24 NBA Season and made 240 three-pointers, breaking the record in a single season in Atlanta Hawks history.
But the season was not a success for the player whose team did not make the playoffs.
"It was not a successful season. Our goal was higher, but sports are like that. I'm glad we fought and worked hard. Even though some players had a good season, we could not find a way to win and we could not act as a team."
Finally, Bogdanovic shared his own observation about coaching in Europe and the NBA:
"It is easier for coaches to coach teams in Europe. For example, everyone here talked about my alleged disagreement with the coach, but such things happen every five games. I've known Quinn Snyder for two years. I talk to him all the time. But this is the NBA. All these cameras are on, and when people see a video, they react immediately."
