According to Tim Bontemps from ESPN, the 76ers plan to file a grievance over officiating in the first two games of the series.
76ers head coach Nick Nurse was irate for not getting a timeout during the last possession before the turnover that allowed the Knicks to take the lead with 13 seconds remaining.
"They score, we take a look at getting the ball in quick. We don't get it in quick. I called timeout. The referee looked right at me, ignored me," Nurse said at the post-game press conference.
"It went into Tyrese [Maxey], I called timeout again. Then the melee started. I guess I got to run out onto the floor or do something to make sure and get his attention, but I needed a timeout there to advance it," Nurse claimed. "Would've been good. But couldn't get it."
The 76ers are now down 0-2 in the series with the next two games set to be played in Philadelphia.
