After playing a career-high 70 games this season, Williamson said the timing of the injury was "super demoralizing."
Williamson, who has been working on his conditioning while sidelined, needs to pass certain tests before he can play again. When asked if there's a chance he could return in the playoffs, his answer was optimistic.
"That is definitely realistic. That is absolutely realistic. But like I said, I got to pass the tests and get back to baseline, and hopefully, I'll be out there," Williamson said.

The Pelicans lost 92-94 to the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1 of their first-round series. Williamson said watching his teammates compete without him was difficult.
"It was really bittersweet. The whole time I just kept envisioning myself out there and my impact on the game, but at the same time I had to put aside my personal feelings and be there for my teammates."
