Hart, who was seen holding his midsection multiple times during the game, asked to be taken out.
Head coach Tom Thibodeau commented on Hart's condition after the game, saying, "We will see," when asked about the injury and adding, "I don't know" when pressed for details.
The 29-year-old had previously exited the game in the first half due to the same issue.
"I mean, I would assume he's playing, it's Game 7," Knicks leader Jalen Brunson said of his perimeter colleague.
Before leaving the game, Hart played 31 minutes, scoring 5 points, grabbing 8 rebounds, and dishing out 3 assists on 2-8 shooting.
Hart has been instrumental in the Knicks' playoff run, averaging 15.8 points and 12.2 rebounds per game.
New York will host Indiana in Game 7 at Madison Square Garden on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
The Knicks are also dealing with injuries to Julius Randle, OG Anunoby, Mitchell Robinson, and Bojan Bogdanovic. Coach Thibodeau mentioned that Anunoby is day-to-day and questionable for Game 7.
