The EuroLeague has started a disciplinary procedure and is gathering all information about Boltauzer's theft incident in Belgrade.

EuroLeague referee Matej Boltauzer has become involved in a huge scandal, which has led to the EuroLeague starting a disciplinary procedure.

Boltauzer was caught stealing at the Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, Republika.rs reports. The experienced official stole a Tom Ford bottle of perfume, valued at over 200€.

According to BasketNews sources, the EuroLeague has started a disciplinary procedure against Boltauzer and is currently gathering all information about the incident.

Following his act, Boltauzer was quickly detained at the Duty-Free shop, Republika adds, later admitting his fault.

The Serbian outlet contacted the referee about the matter. "I don't know anything about that. I'm sorry, I can't talk," he said when asked about it. Republika claim they sent the video footage to Boltauzer but didn't receive an answer.
