According to Andrew Marchand from The Athletic, the league has signed a framework agreement with Amazon Prime Video for it to become one of the main broadcasters.
The deal will begin during the 2025-26 season, Marchand notes, and will be at least 10 years in length. Amazon Prime Video will receive a significant portion of regular-season and postseason games.
ESPN and ABC are expected to retain the rights to broadcast the NBA Finals.
Prime Video already has a deal with the NFL, making the platform the only place to watch Thursday Night Football (TNF) in the US.
With Amazon joining the broadcaster group, the NBA will have three main companies in charge of showing basketball games to the public instead of the previously established system of two broadcasters.
