The Minnesota Timberwolves are moving on to the next round after sweeping the Phoenix Suns, 4-0, in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

Behind the super play of Anthony Edwards, the Timberwolves were able to topple a Suns team that had great offensive players in Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal.

Throughout most of the series, Edwards was matched up against Durant, a player he looked up to growing up. He relished the chance to compete against KD and beat him in the first round.

"I got the utmost respect for KD. He comes in and competes every night. I've watched every one of his games since I've been 5. I love that guy,” Edwards told reporters after Game 4.

“I’m excited to play with him this summer [in the Olympics], talk a little trash, and let him know I sent him home.”

Edwards, who had 40 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists in the Timberwolves 122-116 Game 4 win, and Durant are part of the 12-man roster that Team USA will field in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
