Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is uncertain about his NBA future after the team's disappointing elimination from the playoffs at the hands of the Denver Nuggets for the second consecutive year.

LeBron is currently directing his attention towards his family and upcoming commitment with the Team USA for the Paris Olympics.

"I just want to get home to the family, honestly," he shared during the post-game conference. "Obviously, I got my son, one of my boys, trying to decide if he's going to enter the draft or go back to school. I got another kid that's playing AU ball. Right now, my daughter's playing volleyball and my wife's doing so many great things. It's about my family right now, and in a couple of months, I got to go to [Las] Vegas for a training camp. So, I gotta rest my body for USA Basketball, but that's kind of my initial thoughts."

When asked if the game he just played might be his final one with the Lakers, James chose not to respond and promptly exited the press conference.

"I'm not going to answer that," he said.

This elimination marks the shortest postseason journey in James' career, which spans 17 playoff appearances. His playoff record is 183-104, including a series record of 41-13 and four championship titles.

The only other time James was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs came in 2021 when the Phoenix Suns defeated the Lakers in six games.

On Monday night, LeBron had 30 points, 11 assists, and 9 rebounds, but his efforts were ultimately in vain as Jamal Murray's game-winning shot secured a 108-106 victory for the Nuggets.
