Maccabi have also issued an official statement, expressing gratitude to Serbia and the local security forces for allowing Maccabi fans to spectate the game with tickets.
Due to the war in Israel, Maccabi have been forced to play their home games outside of the country for nearly the entire EuroLeague season. With the exception of the very first game in Tel Aviv, before the conflict began on October 7th, all subsequent home contests have been held in Belgrade, with limited fan capacity during the Play-In Tournament or no fans at all.
Initially, the limit for Game 3 was set at only 300 fans, but the Israeli team, in coordination with the city police, has managed to triple the number of fans permitted.
While the regular-season games took place at the Aleksandar Nikolic Hall, also known as Pionir, the Play-In game was hosted at the Belgrade Arena, formerly known as Stark Arena, which also served as the venue for Maccabi's final regular-season game against EA7 Emporio Armani Milan.
Maccabi-Panathinaikos Game 3 is scheduled for 19:00 CET on Tuesday.
