Per SNY’s Ian Begley, the play-caller slammed his hand in frustration on a call during the game. Unclear if it is a break or a sprain, Nurse couldn’t draw plays up in the second half because he couldn’t grip a marker.
The game, a 112-106 thriller that went down to the wire, saw the 76ers trail by six with 28.2 seconds remaining before storming back to force overtime.
That was the second coaching injury in a matter of days as Timberwolves bench boss Chris Finch suffered a torn patellar tendon during Minnesota's Game 4 win over the Phoenix Suns after getting knocked over into the front row.
The severity of Nurse's injury has yet to be disclosed, as the Sixers are looking to come back from a 3-2 deficit in the series.
