Garland has played with the Cavaliers since being drafted number 5 in 2019. On the other hand, Mitchell joined the team in 2022 and has quickly become the team's most important offensive weapon.
Darius Garland had signed a five-year contract worth $231 million with the Cavaliers in 2022. As for Mitchell, he has one more season remaining on his contract with a cap hit of $35.4 million, along with a player option for $37 million through the 2025-26 season.
