In a close contest that ended with a score of 62-65, Monaco broke Fenerbahce's press easily in a full-court possession and were able to dunk the ball to leave Fenerbahce only 0.2 seconds for a response.

Right after the last buzzer sounded, Jaron Blossomgame of Monaco appeared to strut towards courtside Fenerbahce fans in a congratulatory pose.

The fans then stood up and got into the court, gesturing and screaming towards Blossomgame. A Fenerbahce fan could then be seen throwing the basketball towards the player, although he missed.

The confrontation got bigger and bigger as more fans and Monaco players joined the scuffle. The Monaco staff, headlined by the head coach Sasa Obradovic, Fenerbahce mascot Yellow, and security personnel, among others, attempted to break up the confrontation and were initially successful.

However, tensions continued to flare up as footage captured Mike James angered and only just restrained by his teammates like Mam Jaiteh. In the meantime, objects were being thrown inside the court.

As Monaco players tried to return to their locker room, objects flew towards the corridor, and Turkish police tried to restrain them.

Fenerbahce head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius apologized for the incident at the immediate post-game presser.

"I apologize for Monaco and EuroLeague for the last incident over there. This is not Fenerbahce. This is not us," he said.

Monaco forced a Game 5 of the series, which will be played on the Monagesque team's court, the Salle Gaston Medecin.
