"I would like to apologize for the last incident on the part of Fenerbahce. This is not our picture, and it's unacceptable," Jasikevicius said.
"We are trying to build something here, and we are not going to have the culture of excuses and blaming external factors. We have to take responsibility for today," he noted.
Speaking of the basketball part, he admitted it was the worst Fenerbahce game in the playoff series.
"It seems like everybody who took the ball tried to take everything into their own hands and solve the problems by themselves. That's a negative part that I told my players," emphasized Jasikevicius.
"The positive part is that I told my players I don't look at this as an opportunity lost, even though it's a little bit of opportunity lost in front of our crowd. Believe it or not, I told my players they were my heroes because they treated this game as seriously as game 5," Saras added.
"We have opportunities to win in Monaco. We had an incredible situation in Game 1. We're playing the whole series without a very important player. To go to game 5 is a really great situation. Now, we have to go back to the video and see what we didn't do, although it's pretty clear. Offensively, we didn't play for each other," he concluded.
The game was do-or-die for Monaco, and Sasa Obradovic's team survived to live another day, while Fenerbahce fell short of closing the series early.
