A do-or-die win for AS Monaco in Game 4 of the playoff series between itself and Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul was concluded by a scuffle between Monaco players and Fenerbahce fans.

Although the situation did not cause any serious ramifications, tensions ran very high, and restraining the sides was difficult. Caught in between the belligerents was Sasa Obradovic, Monaco's coach, who was among the group trying to settle everyone down.

In the post-game press conference, the coach talked about the scuffle and what he was thinking about when he tried to break up the sides, with special reference to last year's infamous Real Madrid-Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade brawl.

"No matter if we won the game, we should have gone back to our locker room," Obradovic began. "Somebody can throw something, but you have to get yourself distanced. Go away, and do not care about it."

"I can say that [in the past] I was the one who first went into physical fights," he said with a smile. "But now, I'm smarter, so I say, 'Go away.' Just not to have the previous year’s experience with Partizan, Punter, and Llull," the tactician ended with a reference to last year's Real Madrid-Partizan brawl.

In regards to the game, Obradovic commented about how they managed to turn the tide on Fenerbahce and lauded his team's offensive and defensive effort in the immediate post-game presser.

"We were much smarter. Offensively smarter," Obradovic said about his team's performance. "Defensively, we [were] consistent. In the whole game, what gave us 60-something points [for] the team, which is greatly offense-oriented. We did an amazing defensive job," he continued.

"Changing the line-ups a little bit gave us a lot of benefits. We completely deserved this win," Obradovic said with pride. "Now Game 5 is open."

"All guys who were on the floor contributed on offense and defense. It's good to be a coach of this team today," Obradovic said in response to whether he would single out Yakouba Outtara and Donta Hall in terms of defensive contributions.

"I think we learned a lot from these four games, and I hope we are not going to repeat the mistakes of the first and third games," he concluded.

With the Game 4 victory, Monaco lived to see another day. Game 5 will decide who goes to the Final Four.
