On Thursday, Beverley attempted to remove ESPN producer Malinda Adams from a postgame press scrum. Initially, he asked if she was a subscriber to his podcast. When she replied in the negative, he declared she couldn't interview him.
Despite Adams standing her ground, Beverley persisted, repeatedly pushing her microphone away and insisting she leave the circle of reporters surrounding his locker. Adams herself acknowledged that both Beverley and the Bucks organization reached out to apologize.
ESPN has since released a statement, calling the report erroneous and claiming Beverley was never banned or hasn't been banned. However, Front Office Sports stands by its claim and insists on having direct knowledge of a policy set on Friday.
Beverley has The Pat Bev Podcast with Rone, boasting over 260,000 subscribers. He faced another controversial moment during the Bucks' playoff loss to the Indiana Pacers when he angrily threw a basketball at heckling fans.
