The Boston Celtics center suffered a soleus strain. Talking with the media, Porzingis said he wasn't sure when he would come back on the court.
"There is no specific date. It's still pretty early. I think it will be clear once I start doing more stuff," Porzingis told the local media after practice on Saturday.
"But I'm not super close yet. I'm expecting to recover at a historic rate," the Latvian said with a smile.
Porzingis averaged 20.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1.9 blocks per game for the Celtics this season. In the three games before the injury in the playoffs, Porzingis averaged 14 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.7 steals, and 2 blocks per game.
