Lakers' Anthony Davis to return Wednesday night

Barring any setback during his pregame warmup, Los AngelesLakers star big man Anthony Davis will return to the lineupWednesday versus the San Antonio Spurs, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

Davis has missed the last 5 1/2 weeks after suffering afractured bone spur and stress reaction in his right foot. McMenamin adds that Davis will be on a20-24 minute restriction.

The Lakers have gone 10-10 since his absence including Tuesday night's 133-115 loss to theLos Angeles Clippers. The Lakers are 22-26 on the season andsit in the 13th spot in the crowded Western Conference but are only1.5 games out of the Play-In Tournament.

The team desperately needed to get its All-Star big man backwho, prior to his injury, averaged 27.4 points and 2.1 blocks alongwith career bests in rebounds (12.1 per game) and field goalpercentage (59.4%).
