This victory also shattered the Game 5 curse as they became the first-ever away team to defeat the home squad in the decisive match, setting the record at 19-1.
Fenerbahce qualified for the EuroLeague Final Four for the first time since 2019. Back then, they finished fourth, losing against Anadolu Efes Istanbul in semis and then vs. Real Madrid in the game for the third place.
Prior to this, Fener, with Zeljko Obradovic under the helm, claimed their first and only EuroLeague trophy in 2017.
In the upcoming semifinal, Fenerbahce will face Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens, who won the series against Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv in five games on Tuesday.
The 2024 Final Four is scheduled to take place at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany, from May 24 to May 26.
The semifinals are set to be played on Friday, with tipoff times at 18:00 and 21:00 local time. On Sunday, the action continues with the Third-Place Game at 17:00 local time, followed by the Championship Game three hours later.
