2023 NCAA Tournament: Men's field of 68 teams announced

With five conference tournament finals capping a wild week ofmen's college hoops, Sunday afternoon officially marked the end ofthe 2022-23 men's college basketball regular season, which meansonly one thing: March Madness is upon us.

Princeton (Ivy), VirginiaCommonwealth (A-10), Alabama (SEC),Purdue (Big Ten) and Memphis(AAC) punched their official ticket to the men's 2023 NCAATournament to round out the group of 32 receiving an automaticbid.

Those teams joined: Vermont (America East),Duke (ACC), Kennesaw State(ASUN), Texas (Big 12), Marquette (Big East),Montana State (Big Sky), UNCAsheville (Big South), UC Santa Barbara(Big West), College of Charleston (CAA),Florida Atlantic (C-USA), NorthernKentucky (Horizon), Iona (MAAC),Kent State (MAC), Howard (MEAC),Drake (Missouri Valley), San DiegoState (Mountain West), FairleighDickinson (Northeast), Southeast MissouriState (Ohio Valley), Arizona (Pac-12),Colgate (Patriot), Furman(Southern), Texas A&M Corpus Christi(Southland), Texas Southern (SWAC), OralRoberts (Summit), Louisiana (Sun Belt),Gonzaga (WCC), Grand Canyon(WAC).

The selection committee revealed at 6 p.m. that the No. 1overall seed is Alabama. The other three top seedsare Houston, Kansas andPurdue.

The First Four in Dayton will consist of a 16-seed matchupbetween Texas A&M Corpus Christi andSoutheast Missouri State plus an 11-seed matchupbetween Mississippi State andPittsburgh. In the other two games, there will bea 16-seed matchup between Texas Southern andFairleigh Dickinson and an 11-seed matchup betweenArizona State and Nevada.

Who else was invited to join The Big Dance on the road to theFinal Four in Houston?
