The Minnesota Timberwolves are up up 2-0 over the defending champions Denver Nuggets in the West semis, and one of the reasons behind their postseason success so far has been Edwards.

The Timberwolves star has impressed a lot with his scoring and tenacity on both ends of the floor, with many comparing him to a young Michael Jordan.

While most see the similarities in their games, Timberwolves had coach Chris Finch said Edwards has what it takes to shine bright in crucial moments but stressed he still needs to improve on a lot of things.

“Stylistically, [the Michael Jordan comparisons] might be [fair]. I think there's a long way to go, of course, in terms of championship level, sustainability, and all that. The confidence is there, the swagger is there…I can tell you that it's 100 percent real," Finch said on The Dan Patrick Show.

“He's never shied away from the moment, that was apparent early on…you never know how a young player is gonna react, some players take years to try to figure out in the playoffs. But that's not been the case for him…the bigger the game, the more he relishes it.”

The one thing that Finch admires about Edwards is his knack for learning.

“One thing that's really great about coaching Ant [is that] he'll still be honest and tell you what he doesn't know, tell you what he needs to be better at, his self-awareness is very high. He's a bit of an old soul that way,” Finch said.

Edwards has been averaging 32.3 points (55% FG), 6.8 rebounds, 5.8 assists, and 1.8 steals per game in the playoffs.

The Timberwolves are aiming to take a commanding 3-0 lead over the Nuggets when the series shifts to Minnesota for Game 3.
