The Celtics lacked effort on the defensive end, which Jaylen Brown pointed out in the post-game press conference.
"Defensively, it was an unacceptable performance," said Brown.
"We gotta play defense and we gotta rebound to keep them off the glass, and those are two things we didn’t do tonight."
The Celtics allowed the Cavs to shoot 55% from the field and 46% from the 3-point area. Boston was also outrebounded 31-44, and outscored in the paint, 44-60.

Brown acknowledged their Game 2 shortcomings and hopes they can bounce back strong in the next game.
"You take it on the chin and you put your best foot forward next game. This was an unacceptable performance and you have to respond," Brown said.
Brown had 19 points and shot only 7-of-17 from the floor in the Game 2 loss.
